We've been able to help trucker and their fleets achieve higher profit margin-with one simple and easy-to-use tool. That is truck scales.
Truck scales, also named as weighbridge or railroad scale is a large set of scales, usually mounted permanently on a concrete foundation. That is used to weigh entire rail or road vehicles and their contents. By weighing the vehicle both empty and when loaded, the load carried by vehicles can be calculated.
Application:
Truck scales can be used for two main purposes:
- Selling or charging by weight over the bridge
- Check weighing both axle weights and gross vehicles weights. This help to stop axle overloading and possible heavy fines.
Pit type truck scales VS pit-less type truck scales
Pit type model requires less space & has the benefit of free vehicle movement. Pit type truck scale is most suitable for places with limited space e.g non-hilly areas where the construction of pit is not s costly affair. Since the platform is in level with the ground, vehicles can approach the truck scales from any direction. Most public truck scales prefer this design.
Pit-less model have the benefit of less civil work, easy maintenance & no water logging problems. Pit-less type truck scales/weighbridge is most suitable where the excavation work for foundation is difficult or construction of pit is expensive. Since the structure is above ground level, vehicles can approach the weighbridge only from two directions where the ramps are provided. This type of weighbridge requires more spaces.
The benefit of pit-less weigh bridges are:
Costly pit construction is eliminated
Platform above ground level, no water logging during rainy season
Problem of pit maintenance is eliminated
Easy maintenance since all parts accessible above ground level
We also supply heavy duty vehicle scales with a checkered steel deck driving surface. This rugged scale is ideal for user who requires long-lasting performance for moderate to heavy traffic and axle loads.
